Are you in a fitness rut?

Do you have a gym membership collecting dust?  Do you feel like you don’t know which cool new program to try or how to get started?  Do you hate they idea of paying a ton of money out of pocket for something you’re not sure that you will like?  Then we should definitely be friends 😉

                                                     Hi!  I’m Lindsey Nagorski

… a 36 year old teacher, mother and wife who used to be very physically fit.  Then came two huge kids which caused a lot of weight gain and major diastasis recti.  A bunch of different weight loss programs (including a roller coaster of weight loss and gain) and 10 years later I’m here to share the tips and tricks that I’ve learned along the way!

Part 1: Beachbody

Over the last 10 years, the ability to work out at home has been extremely important to me.  With two small kids, a husband with a crazy schedule and a gym without daycare the various Beachbody programs seemed like the way to go.  I signed up for a coach and completed p90x, Piyo and the 21 Day Fix… complete with Shakeology and all the other stuff that comes along with it.  *Sidenote- don’t ever, EVER get the strawberry Shakeology.. blech!!

At one point my dvd player stopped playing my Piyo dvd’s correctly and I didn’t really want to spend the money buying an entire package without being sure if I’d like it.  Beachbody on Demand had JUST come out and I jumped all over it!  With on demand you can stream ANY of the Beachbody workouts and download all the program information at a much lower cost!  This as an awesome option if you’re like me and want the ability to quit a program (and try something else) if it isn’t working- without feeling like you just wasted a ton of money!  I seriously recommend giving it a try- you can find out more/ sign up here!

But don’t you still need “stuff”?

Well, yes and no.  Depending on the workout you want to do you will likely need at minimum a yoga mat and a few weights or resistance bands.  A quick run to Target or Walmart will get you whatever you need at a reasonable price or you can check out the links below.  As for shakes and supplements, I’ve found a lot of luck with products from GNC and Costco as well.
